Ink Master: Shop Wars is the ninth season of the tattoo reality competition Ink Master that premiered on June 6, 2017 on Spike at 10/9c. Host Dave Navarro returned alongside co-judges Oliver Peck and Chris Nunez. Season 9 features teams of two sorted by their tattoo shops going head-to-head in a tag team elimination-style competition. The winning shop will receive $200,000, a feature in Inked magazine and the title of "Ink Master". In addition, the winning shop will also receive the title of "Master Shop".
Similar to Season 7, This season features nine rookie shops battling nine veteran shops each week while tackling a skill that exposes each veterans' shortcoming from the last time they competed. Season 4 veteran Aaron "Bubba" Irwin and newcomer DJ Tambe of Old Town Ink won the competition, each earning the title of Ink Master and Old Town Ink being awarded the first ever title of "Master Shop."

For this season, a new variation of "You do not have what it takes to be Ink Master" line features Dave saying to the eliminated shop "You do not have what it takes to be Master Shop" in addition to "Please pack your machines and move out".
